Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Outpatient Medication Management | Full-Time W-2 | HYBRID

Bradford Counseling Services is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our established outpatient mental health practice in Severna Park, Maryland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a PMHNP who wants to focus on medication management and patient care while having the support of an established behavioral health practice and administrative team.

Compensation & Earning Potential

Estimated annual earning potential: $100,000–$145,000+

This is a full-time, W-2 commission-based position. Clinical compensation is based on actual collections received by the practice, rather than charges or amounts billed.

Your commission percentage increases as your billable appointment volume increases:

Billable appointments include completed billable clinical services and eligible cancellation/no-show fees.

There is no cap on earning potential. As your caseload and billable volume grow, your percentage increases.

You'll have the opportunity to build a medication-management caseload within an existing behavioral health practice while working alongside therapists and other mental health professionals.

Our administrative team provides support with many of the administrative components of running a practice, including insurance authorizations, billing , scheduling and more, allowing you to spend more of your time focused on clinical care.

Schedule

We are seeking a full-time PMHNP and anticipate a schedule of approximately four clinical days per week, with approximately seven hours of patient availability per day. (We are open to part-time to build up to a full-time schedule as well).

The specific schedule will be discussed during the interview process.

The position is designed to provide a consistent outpatient schedule while allowing flexibility within the practice's operating hours.

Paid Administrative & Meeting Time

Required practice activities are paid separately from clinical commissions.

Required administrative time is compensated at $30 an hour, only including the following:

• Required staff meetings

• Clinical consultation

Administrative time does not count toward the billable appointment threshold used to determine the commission percentage.

• Continuing education: Up to $300 per calendar year toward eligible CEU expenses

• Sick and safe leave: Up to 40 hours of unpaid earned sick and safe leave, in accordance with applicable Maryland law and practice policy

Clinical Responsibilities

The PMHNP will primarily provide outpatient psychiatric medication-management services, including:

• Psychiatric evaluations

• Medication-management follow-up appointments

• Medication prescribing and monitoring

• Assessment of treatment effectiveness and side effects

• Ordering and reviewing appropriate laboratory testing

• Patient education

• Coordination of care with therapists and other providers

• Timely clinical documentation

• Clinical communication and follow-up as appropriate

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold an active Maryland PMHNP/APRN license

• Hold appropriate national PMHNP certification

• Have experience providing psychiatric medication management

• Enjoy working in an outpatient behavioral health environment

• Value collaboration with therapists and other behavioral health professionals

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care

• Maintain timely and thorough documentation

• Be dependable and professional

• Be interested in building a long-term relationship with an established practice

• DEA License

Outpatient mental health/private practice experience is preferred.
